Caramel Dip for Apples
Homemade Caramel Dip for Apples is the perfect fall treat with the crisp, sweet and tart bite of fruit ( But don’t stop at apples!), graham crackers, pretzel sticks, Nilla wafers, and even other fruits! Many foods all  taste delicious dipped in caramel, and it can also be drizzled over ice cream or pie.  Make a batch for yourself and one for a sweet hostess gift this season. Set it out at your fall parties or as a dessert after Thanksgiving dinner. Everyone will be begging for more of this yummy homemade caramel apple dip!
Ingredients:
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
- 3 1/2 tablespoons butter
- 1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions:
Mix sugar and cream on the stovetop at a medium heat.
Stir until sugar is completely dissolved.
Add in the salt and butter and simmer the caramel for about 5 minutes.
Remove from heat and add in the vanilla.
After it’s ready, it’s time to enjoy this amazing homemade caramel! In fact, this caramel dip for apples is so good you will want to enjoy it year-round, and not just in the fall! It is the perfect tasty treat for your favorite fruits and desserts! Yum! And the best part… I was surprised to learn how easy and inexpensive it is to make homemade caramel! I grew up with store-bought caramels, so finding this recipe was a pleasant surprise!

Thank you so very much for the Yummy Caramel Dip recipe! It sounds sooooooooooo good! I was always used to the caramel that comes in a bag and melt it that way! This way sounds so wonderful for dipping, drizzling, etc. This would be absolutely perfect for drizzling over a just baked homemade Jewish Apple Cake! I’ve made a caramel icing before and it takes quite a lot of 10x confectioners sugar to make it spreading consistency! That is wonderful on Chocolate cake! oh, I’m getting hungry for those goodies already! Thanks again for the terrific recipe! I’ve got it printed out and I’m sure going to give it a try!
