Here are our favorite Ways To Use Pumpkins and How to ReUse Halloween Pumpkins! With Fall officially here, you can’t go anywhere without seeing pumpkins. Whether you have grabbed some to use as decorations, or you have grown your own in your home garden, you will need to find ways to use pumpkins this Fall without them simply spoiling. We love the fun these bring to our fall and holiday decor, and we are sure you will too!
WAYS TO USE PUMPKINS
Simple Fall Decor: Stack various sizes together on your front porch along with a fun scarecrow or hay bale. Nothing is needed but to simply arrange in a way you deem attractive.
Pumpkin Foods: Cut apart your pumpkin, cook and puree the meat to create the base for hundreds of delicious pumpkin flavored foods. Breads, Puddings, Pies, Cakes, Cookies, Bars and drinks are all delicious fall treats when using this inexpensive and tasty item.
Vase: Cut the top off your pumpkin and hollow out as much of the flesh from inside as you can. Rinse clean and pat dry, then use as a vase for fresh flowers at your next event.
Beauty Products: Pumpkin puree is a great base for things like facial masks, scrubs and body butters. Not only will you enjoy the scent, you’ll love the all natural benefits of this food.
Roasted Pumpkin Seeds: While this would technically fall under the pumpkin foods category – it is often forgotten. Nothing is as tasty a snack as grabbing some seasoned roasted pumpkin seeds. Before you throw that mess away inside the pumpkin, rinse the seeds and roast for a quick healthy treat.
Feed Deer: If you live in an area where there are deer that come into your yard, or have a spouse who likes to hunt this is a great way to feed them. Cut up your old pumpkins and leave out for the deer to eat. They love them, and they won’t go to waste.
This year you don’t have to let those pumpkins go to waste. Instead of watching them rot and have to be thrown out – put them to good use around your home, in your yard, in your kitchen or even your beauty care routine. These ways to use pumpkins are our favorites because they are so simple, low cost and flow in our daily lives so well. I even grab extra pumpkins when they go on sale to use for cooking and decorations throughout the season.
