Homemade Gingerbread Sugar Scrub

GINGERBREAD SUGAR SCRUB

INGREDIENTS

  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1/4 cup Coconut Oil
  • 1/2 tsp Vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp Almond
  • 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp All Spice
  • 1/2 tsp Ginger
  • 1/2 tsp Nutmeg

 

DIRECTIONS

  • In a medium sized bowl combine all ingredients except the Coconut Oil.
  • Gradually add Coconut Oil (add additional oil if you like your scrub in a very wet consistency).
  • Place Mixture in Jar.
  • Add Gingerbread Sugar Scrub Label to front of Jar and a ribbon if gifting.

    Would you melt the coconut oil first, or use solid? I tried solid and it didn’t seem to get oily, just like asugar paste. Maybe I just need to add more, but I already added more than the 1/4 cup.

    Yes, if yours is in a solid form, you can melt it – put the jar in some warm / hot water (being careful not to burn yourself) until it melts. You can find some coconut oil that is already in “oil” or “melted” form, which is what was used for this recipe.

    do you mean almond extract or almond oil for the 1/2 tsp?
